Minutes

 

 

  1. The meeting was called to order at 7:03 pm.  
  2. We reviewed the minutes from the February meeting.  Cynthia  motioned to approve the minutes and Stacie seconded the motion.  All in favor.  Motion approved.    
  3. TresurerÕs Report - We gave the 6th graders $3700 to pay for camp. We paid $200 for the brick for the district.  We bought the popcorn popper this month. We paid for the banners which were $129.00 but that is not reflected on the treasurerÕs report yet.  We got the last payment on our bounced checks – we got all the money!  Kristy motioned to approve.  Monica seconded.
  4. New Business
    1. New popcorn popper – Cynthia talked about it.  Her husband  made the cart which is beautiful.  It has storage and a stainless steel top.  He spent $240 on parts.  Kristy got trained on the use of the popcorn popper along with a few other people.  She showed us some basics.  
    2. PTO meeting banners – great new banners - $129 for the four banners.
    3. Spaghetti Feed update – We have sponsorships – CAL fit, John Wallace from Local Centers and Sylvan Learning Center.  John is encouraging his tenants to donate.  We have 40 tickets sold so far.  We are allowing a maximum of 200 per seating – two seatings.  Keri Hock was hired to cook for the Spaghetti feed.    Her group will do all the serving.  They are doing it at $.75 per head.  There are about 10 people who are doing cookie baking.  They may need someone to donate cookies.  Water is being paid for by sponsors.  We need to do plates, napkins and food.  She has all the chafing dishes.   $4.00 profit per person.  We still have all the decorations from the first spaghetti feed.  Allocated $1000 for the spaghetti feed.  All the kids at the school will draw a self portrait and they will be sold at the spaghetti feed.
    4. Staff appreciation – Kristy said there are a few things going on with that – they met once.  Sheri bought some things from Oriental Trading.
    5. Movie Night - Bolt showing Friday March 27.  There is an assembly on Friday so we will to pump up the movie.  Kristy bought a stuffed Bolt dog to give away. 
    6. 2009/2010 PTO Board Committee Board Positions – Hope talked about the different positions.  WonÕt actually pick the board until May 2009. 
    7. Other - We are trying to get more people involved.  Invite friends to come to the PTO meeting.  A suggestion was made to add agenda to the monthly newsletter.  We had some new people attended this meeting which was great.
